JOY BEHAR: GAYS DON’T TAKE MONOGAMY SERIOUSLY
GAY COMMUNITY IN UPROAR
Joy Behar suffered an extreme case of foot-in-mouth disease on episode of
The View, as she shared her understanding of gay relationships. During the “hot topics” segment, Behar shared her belief that they [the gay community] don’t take monogamy and infidelity the same way that the straight community does…if they have an affair, some one night stand… even though they’re in a committed relationship… they don’t break up the relationship the way straight people do.”
Whitney Houston Announces World Tour
Whitney Houston Announces World Tour
The Living Legend & Icon known as “The Voice,” Whitney Houston
recently announced her world tour dates The Nothing But Love Tour will support her DOUBLE PLATINUM album, I Look To You. The tour will venture to South Korea, Japan, Europe, and Australia. As Whitney Houston is and has always been my favorite singer, I can’t wait to go see a TRUE diva return to the stage! And yes, the U.S. tour dates will be announced shortly, as that will be a separate leg of the massive tour.
Rihana Goes Stag
“I’m going to the Grammys alone, as always!” she said Thursday on 104.3 MY FM’s “Valentine in the Morning” show, according to US Magazine.com. “Even when I was in a relationship, I always have gone alone.”
However, “I’m still single, if that’s what you really want
to ask!” she added.
She was then asked about photographs that circulated online earlier this month of her and Kemp getting close in Mexico, and she only said “It was a blast!”
Of course, she’ll have plenty of company at the show: She’s nominated for a Grammy, with Jay-Z and Kanye West, for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Run This Town.”

Rumors around town that on Feb 19th Harrah’s is going to buy BASE Entertainment which owns; Phantom of the Opera, Jersey Boys, Peep Show ( soon to be scaled down) , Wayne Brady and The Theater of the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood. Sources also tell me that AEG Live will be handling all their ticket operations.
AGAVE SERVES UP THE HOTTNESS
I need to say the Agave in Summerlin just across from Red Rock casino has certainly upgraded their bartenders. They must have hired a half a dozen of the hottest girls I have seen this side of the Vegas strip. The best part is that they are open until 2 AM with a full menu. Now I am not sure whether to go to Roadrunner on Flamingo or Agave for their 10PM hours. It’s nice to stay in the neighborhood. Saturday nights at Roadrunner have really been hopping with a strip DJ and club quality hunnies!!!

ICAHN SET TO ACQUIRE FONTAINEBLEAU LAS VEGAS
FOR WHAT IS CONSIDERED A BARGAIN PRICE, INVESTOR CARL ICAHN IS ABOUT TO PURCHASE THE BANKRUPT FONTAINEBLEAU LAS VEGAS PROJECT.
Carl Icahn is poised to buy Jeffrey Soffer’s unfinished Fontainebleau Las Vegas in a bankruptcy sale for $157 million, a big discount for a project that has so far cost $2 billion to build.
Icahn Nevada Gaming Acquisition LLC made the only qualified bid, an attorney for the bankruptcy examiner said in court documents filed in Miami. Thursday’s auction was canceled, according to the papers. A hearing on the sale is set for Jan. 27 in Miami, when a judge must approve the sale for Icahn to take over.
Icahn’s November offer of $156.5 million, including financing during the Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, set the minimum for others to beat. The 63-story Fontainebleau, about 70 percent complete at a cost of $2 billion when it filed for bankruptcy in June, sits on about 27 acres at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip. It will cost about $1.5 billion to finish, former bidder Penn National Gaming Inc. has estimated. Although two rival offers for the project were received, “the examiner has determined that the submissions are not qualified,” Eve Karasik, attorney for the Chapter 11 examiner, said in court papers, without identifying the bidders. A source close to Soffer said Wednesday that the Vegas project only has a license on the Fontainebleau brand for another year. The Fontainebleau name “will never be on the property once it opens,” the source said.
Fontainebleau Las Vegas LLC and affiliates Fontainebleau Las Vegas Holdings LLC and Fontainebleau Las Vegas Capital Corp. sought court protection from creditors June 9, listing assets and debt of more than $1 billion each. Icahn, 73, triggered a bidding war with Penn National in court on Nov. 23, leading to the billionaire investor’s so- called stalking-horse offer. Penn National stopped bidding in court at $145 million, including $50 million in debtor-in-possession financing, after first offering $101.5 million.
Soffer, a partner in the Turnberry development in Aventura, launched the Fontainebleau Vegas shortly after purchasing the original Miami Beach hotel in 2005. The Fontainebleau Miami Beach is fending off creditors trying to collect more than $60 million in construction bills from that resort’s renovation. While the two projects are separate, the insurers that backed Soffer’s Vegas loans are suing to treat the Fontainebleau Miami Beach as collateral on the Vegas debt.
Soffer has said the Vegas woes will have no bearing on the Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
